How many Bundles with Closure Do I need to make a Wig?

“How many bundles of hair do I need to make a wig?” This is one of the most frequent questions we get asked for our human hair extensions .The answer to this question is usually based on a number of factors to choose how many bundles to weaves.

We definitely want our hair to look natural and gorgeous, so we want it to look perfect when we wear it. From the length of the hair to the size of the head, these different elements play an important role in the appearance of the final hairstyle.

So this is one of the reasons why I write down this article to eliminate your confusion, I'll tell you everything, I hope you don't need this problem anymore.

Before we start our main content first of all we should have knowledge about a Closure.

What is a Closure?

A lace closure is a 4x4 closure piece; it covers your head from temple to temple. Closures are installed in the “horseshoe” area of the head to close off the style, hence the name closure.

An experienced hairstylist can make a lace closure sew in looks very natural.

Free part closure, middle part lace closure, and free part lace closure are provided for customers to choose from.

Free part closure: a closure that can be parted freely as you wish.

Middle part closure: a closure that has a pre-plucked middle part, a very welcomed hair closure type.

Three-part closure: This closure gives 3 parts design-left side, right side and middle part to be purchased.

What Factors You Should Think About?

  1. Length

The longer the length of the bundle, the more hair is usually needed. If you want your hair to look thicker, we recommend using more bundles to make your hair fuller from root to top. Usually, 3 bundles with a lace closure or 4 bundles with lace closure are enough to make a full head weave, shorter length hair bundles are thicker than longer hair.

  1. Texture

Several types of hair textures are popular on the market, such as straight hair, wavy hair, and curly hair. If you want a silky straight bundle and want to get Bob, a plan with two bundles and a closed button is enough. If you want very thick hair, you need 3-4 bundles.

  1. Size of Your Head:

You know, different sizes of the heads, it needs different volumes of the hair bundles to make a full head weave. In the United States, the average size of a female's head is 22.5 inches. Pick up your tape measure and wrap it around your head from ear to ear to make it fit and determine your measurements. If the size of the head is above average, more wigs may be needed.

  1. Frontal or Closure:

Closures are usually 4 x 4 inches; you will need to use a minimum of two bundles with your closure. Because the frontal will cover a large portion of your head you will generally only need 2-3 bundles depending on the style and length.

How Many Bundles Needed With a Closure?

If you are going to get 8-14 inches, you need 2 bundles with a closure;

Anywhere from 16-20 or 22 inches, you need 3 bundles with lace closure deals;

Anything past that, you need 4 bundles;

And this is all with a leave out or a closure.

If you going for a short hairstyle, you typically only need 2 bundles and this is for if you have leave out or a 4x4 closure.

If you are getting long hair, you have to be very careful about the hair bundles amount.

Some people might think that I will just get 3 bundles of 24" and that does will be fine.

It could be fine but the fact is that maybe your hair is going to be a scanty the longer it gets.

So 3 bundles of a 24 inch are not going to the same as an 18 inch, 20 inches and 22 inches.

You are going to get layered for one and you are going to get a thickness for 18 inches and 20-inch bundle.

The tricky thing about going longer is that the longer the hair you get like I said before, the more scanty and thinner it looks.

You always want to double up on the longest length, so if you want a 20" 22" 24" 26" hair bundles, I suggest you order 20" 22" 24" 24".

You will like to double up the longest lengths, so the hair will be fuller.

And if you do like 26" is your longest hair length, then I suggest 22" 24" 26" 26" bundle deals with closure.

This is just for normal-looking fullness, if you want really full and thick hair, then past 22" inches.

It may be a little pricy, but if you want very thick hair past 22 inches like 30 inches you can try 5 bundles, 5 bundles with a 4x4 closure will give you the hair amount you need.

These are basically the hair amount you need for a closure sew in or leave out for creating a full wig.
